The Wildwalkers are a rare and powerful race, but their bloodline has long been weak. Among them, Syvos stood out as the most gifted child. His strength drew the attention of the Wraith Army, which sought to harness his power. To protect him, the Wildwalker Lord sealed away Syvos’ abilities and sent him to live as an ordinary human.

Growing up in Sanctuary, Syvos lived a humble life, often eating at different homes in the village. By the age of fifteen, he was the strongest among the boys. He always sensed he was different, but still shared the dreams and emotions with his friends, especially his feelings for Yilian, the kind and playful daughter of the local teacher. Syvos did all he could to make her smile and be close to her.

However, peace did not last. One day, while rescuing a rabbit from a pack of jackals, Syvos accidentally transformed into a white ape. This sudden awakening of his true power drew the attention of the Wraiths. They soon descended on Sanctuary, destroying homes and endangering lives. In a desperate moment, Syvos revealed his true form and drove them away… but instead of gratitude, the townspeople reacted with fear. They saw him as a monster and wanted him gone.

Still unable to control his powers and realizing his presence put the town in danger, Syvos decided to leave. But what pained him the most was saying goodbye to Yilian.

Word of Syvos’ transformation reached the authorities, and the town sent someone to report him. Secretly, Yilian warned Syvos and packed a heavy bag for him, urging him to run far away. It was then that Syvos realized she had always seen his kindness. She had kept every gift he gave her and was never afraid of him.

Despite this, he knew he had to go. On his journey, he met the Elder Gwan who revealed the truth of his origins and unsealed his powers. From then on, Syvos traveled far and wide, honing his skills and searching for the scattered members of the Wildwalker tribe.

Years passed and Syvos matured into the new Wildwalker Lord, mastering an unmatched cudgel-fighting style that shook the world. He led his tribe to victory, reclaiming City of the Lost. Once his people were safe, Syvos gathered an assortment of gifts, collected from all over the Midlands, and set off for Sanctuary. He went to find the girl in his memory to prove his strength and his love for her.

But it was too late. The house was empty, and Yilian was gone.

Yilian had quietly married into a wealthy family in the city to help her ill mother and bring stability. All she left for Syvos was a simple note: “We owe each other nothing, and I will no longer think of you.”

Syvos kept that heartbreaking note close to him through many battles and many sleepless nights. “Enlightenment comes with a price—mistakes and pain.” The path to greatness can be a lonely one.
